Roundavu

All worlds. One experience. No glasses

Human Inspired

Roundavu was inspired by looking deeply at the human side of the human+technology equation.

The tech crowd

Meanwhile, the tech crowd continues looking to tech for answers, with the same old results.

Looking to technology for breakthroughs in human experience is like the fellow looking for his keys down the street from where he lost them because the light is better,

Yet the tech crowd continues to do so, oblivious to better answers because they are simply looking in the wrong place.

What’s wrong with XR?

Same old approach

My first experience with VR was in 1992 at the SIGCHI Conference in Monterey. VR was just a bout to take over the world at that time. A bunch of orange-haired guys showed up wearing pre GoogleGlass-like AR glasses to show us the future. That was three decades ago. The only thing they got right was the orange hair.

This TechXpressionist sculpture titled “Brick on the Brow” is a statement about the fact that most people don’t really want to wear a big XR thing on their face.

with Same results

Lesson: People don’t want to wear a brick on their face. This piece of sculpture is a statement about that. It’s called “Brick on the Brow”

Metaverse falls flat

Zuckerberg burned 45 billion, with a B!, on a 3D immersive pretend Metaverse nobody wanted to go to.

Real world wins!

VisionPro

Despite impressive technology and slick industrial design, Apple’s Vision Pro is flying off the shelves like a Spruce Goose

goes slowly into the drawer

Social Fails

Social dynamics are chronically overlooked. Traditional XR separates people.

Experience Must be Sharable

Flat to the future

Still, most agree the world is round, so why is UX still flat? The future is immersive.

Isn’t that Spatial?

Answer: Roundavu

Roundavu / RDVU is Universal eXperience Architecture (UXA) , a mixer of realities into one composite immersive experience.

One experience. all worlds. No glasses

RDVU UXA
