She is named after an artist friend who has become well known for her beautiful large abstract paintings. The spelling is, of course, as in the word synthesis.

Inside, outside, around, and next door to the Mac Gallery

Art is all around. Sometimes it has a sign on the door. Usually not. You have to find it. That’s the fun part.

It’s especially fun in and around galleries where there is intense curation and design mixed with happenstance. There’s a constant question as to whether an interesting visual element I am seeing is there by accident, design, or both. For art hunting in authentic surroundings, its hard to do better than the MAC.
